Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Gewaardeerd als een van de beste wijnen uit Chili, werd Sena oorspronkelijk opgericht door de legendarische wijnmaker Robert Mondavi en Eduardo Chadwick, wiens voorvader Don Maximiano Errázuriz in 1870 Chili's eerste Errazuriz wijnmakerij oprichtte.

    Deze prachtige blend is gemaakt van de typische Bordeaux rassen Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot en Malbec en Chili's kenmerkende Carmenere druif. Om ervoor te zorgen dat het fruit in topconditie bij de wijnmakerij aankomt, worden de druiven 's ochtends vroeg met de hand geoogst en zorgvuldig gesorteerd. Het merendeel wordt vervolgens vergist in roestvrijstalen tanks, terwijl 6% wordt vergist in gebruikte Franse eiken vaten voor extra complexiteit en diepte. De jonge wijn rijpt vervolgens 22 maanden in 100% nieuwe Franse eiken vaten voordat hij wordt gebotteld.

    Het resultaat is een prachtige Bordeaux-stijl blend die klasse en elegantie uit de Oude Wereld combineert met energie en dynamiek uit de Nieuwe Wereld. De neus barst van de intense donkere bessen, kersen en pruimen, samen met meer delicate hints van toast, houtrook en kruiden. In de mond zijn er dichte, stevige tannines, een goed gebouwde structuur en een zeer lange afdronk. Een geweldige wijn om nog een paar jaar te bewaren of om nu te drinken bij de hartigste rode vleesgerechten zoals stoofschotels of rijk wild.
