Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    De oprichter van Te Pa wijnhuis, Haysley MacDonald, kan zijn wortels terugvoeren tot 800 jaar geleden naar vroege Maori kolonisten die op Wairau Bar in het huidige Marlborough kwamen wonen. Hoewel zijn familie dit land al generaties lang bewerkt, begon Haysley pas in 2003 de melk- en graanboerderij van de familie om te vormen tot wijngaarden. Vandaag de dag heeft het landgoed zo'n 500 hectare wijngaard op Wairau Bar en in de Awatere Valley.

    Het fruit voor deze klassieke Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc wordt bij optimale rijpheid geoogst en direct naar de wijnmakerij vervoerd om de versheid en aroma's te behouden. De volgende stap is het voorzichtig persen van het fruit en het vergisten van het sap in roestvrijstalen tanks om de schoonheid en zuiverheid van het Marlborough terroir en het natuurlijke karakter van de variëteit te laten zien.

    Ontvangende aroma's van limoen, witte bloemen, vanille en nectarine spatten onmiddellijk uit het glas. De eerste slok onthult een frisse smaak en een goed afgeronde afdronk met aanhoudende tonen van citrus, ananas, zoute mineraliteit en verse kruiden. Het levendige en verfrissende smaakprofiel maakt dit een geweldige witte wijn om te combineren met groene zomersalades of romige geitenkazen.
