    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Tot op de dag van vandaag produceert Thierry Allemand enkele van de beste en meest gerenommeerde wijnen uit de Rhône en wordt hij alom beschouwd als een lokale legende, maar dat was niet altijd zo. Zonder formele opleiding en geen geschiedenis van wijnmaken in zijn familie, begon Thierry op de harde manier, door te werken in de kelders van gewaardeerde wijnboeren en langzaam land te kopen dat geschikt was om zijn eigen wijnmakerij te beginnen. Na jaren van toewijding en slopende arbeid, bewerkt Thierry momenteel ongeveer 5 hectare, waaronder enkele van de beste locaties in Cornas.

    Zijn Cornas Chaillot is een uitstekende uitdrukking van de capaciteiten van de Syrah-druif wanneer deze wordt verbouwd op de klei- en kalkbodems op de steile zuidhellingen van Chaillot. Deze iconische wijn is een genot voor de zintuigen met zijn verleidelijke dieprode kleur en verleidelijke aroma's van geplette donkere bessen, salieblaadjes, witte peper en rozenblaadjes.

    De eerste slok onthult een grote, gedurfde persoonlijkheid met een stevige structuur, rijpe tannines en hints van houtrook, gedroogde kruiden en zwarte olijven naast de rijpe fruitsmaken. De krachtige ruggengraat van deze wijn maakt het een uitstekende kandidaat voor een langere rijping. Als u hem nu wilt drinken, serveer hem dan bij een stevige stoofschotel van rundvlees of een fijne steak, zodat deze uitzonderlijke wijn echt kan schitteren.
