Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Valpolicella Wijnen

    Valpolicella Wijnen

    Afkomstig uit de glooiende heuvels van het Valpolicella gebied, worden Valpolicella wijnen geproduceerd in verschillende stijlen van de inheemse Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella en Molinara druiven. Ze variëren van levendige en gemakkelijk te drinken rode wijnen tot de serieus zoete Recioto dessertwijn.

    Hoe Valpolicella wordt gemaakt

    Standaard Valpolicella wijnen worden gemaakt van Corvina en Rondinella met vaak wat Molinara en Corvinone in de blend. Ze zijn meestal vrij licht en elegant met aantrekkelijke rode kersentonen en veel frisheid. Valpolicella Ripasso wijnen zijn de volgende stap omhoog, en worden gefermenteerd op de druivenschillen die al gebruikt worden om Amarone te maken. Hierdoor krijgt de wijn veel karakter, complexiteit en rijke gedroogde vruchten. Er zijn ook de zoete Valpolicella Recioto en Valpolicella Superiore, gemaakt van druiven die in de winter zijn ingedroogd.

    Valpolicella Food Pairings

    De grote verscheidenheid van de Valpolicella wijnen maakt ze zeer veelzijdig als het gaat om het combineren van gerechten. Standaard Valpolicella werkt goed bij zaken als vleeswaren, harde kazen en pastagerechten op basis van tomaten, terwijl Ripasso wijnen meer diepte hebben voor rijkere gerechten zoals gestoofd rundvlees, ribbetjes of geroosterd varkensvlees. Zoete Recioto wijnen zijn geweldig om van te genieten in plaats van een dessert of naast desserts met chocolade, gedroogd fruit of donkere bessen.
