    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Vina Robles is een familiewijnhuis met 25 jaar agrarische ervaring in de Paso Robles regio van Californië en alom bekend om zijn Cabernet Sauvignon en Petite Sirah wijnen. Het bedrijf bezit zes SIP-gecertificeerde duurzame wijngaarden, gelegen in vijf subdistricten van de regio die worden beheerd met een filosofie van minimale interventie.

    De Sauvignon Blanc druiven voor deze wijn worden in de ochtend geoogst van een klein blok van de Jardine wijngaard met zand-grind bodems. De koude gisting vindt plaats in roestvrijstalen tanks om het aroma van het druivenras te behouden. De wijn blijft vervolgens rusten op de droesem om rijkdom en complexiteit aan de smaak toe te voegen.

    Vina Robles Sauvignon Blanc heeft een lichte en briljante strogele kleur. In de neus onthult hij tropische aroma's van passievrucht en rijpe guave, gevolgd door hints van oranjebloesem en citrusachtige tonen van roze grapefruit. In de mond is de wijn fris en fris met een gemiddelde body en levendige zuren. De afdronk is lang en schoon en herinnert aan tonen van tropisch en steenfruit. Zijn frisheid en tropische aroma's maken hem perfect in combinatie met krab en sint-jakobsschelpen, maar deze wijn doet het ook uitstekend bij salades en lichte vegetarische gerechten.
