    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Yangarra ontleent zijn naam aan het Aboriginal woord voor "van de aarde", een weerspiegeling van de ethiek van het wijnhuis om te werken in harmonie met de natuur. Het domein is gecertificeerd als biologisch en biodynamisch op 250 hectare wijngaard, die is bezaaid met natuurgangen en kreken om de biodiversiteit hoog te houden.

    Yangarra is waarschijnlijk het best bekend voor het maken van rode wijnen in Rhône-stijl, zoals deze elegante Shiraz van traditionele struiken die werden geplant in 1946. Hun King's Wood cuvee wordt gemaakt van een enkel blok wijnstokken van 12 hectare, geplant op een zandige uitloper waar de omstandigheden ideaal zijn voor het maken van premium wijn. Eenmaal in de wijnmakerij wordt het fruit gefermenteerd en gerijpt in een foudre van 2500 liter om de gratie en natuurlijke schoonheid van het ras te benadrukken.

    In tegenstelling tot de robuuste, pittige Shiraz stijl die zo typisch is voor Zuid-Australië, is deze botteling gemaakt in een meer elegante, weloverwogen stijl met een licht kruidige en gekruide neus en veel rijp donker fruit in de mond. De zachte tannines en de gemiddelde body maken deze wijn zeer toegankelijk, zelfs als hij nog jong is, hoewel hij desgewenst nog een paar jaar kan worden bewaard. Combineer met gebarbecuede ribbetjes, vleeswaren of pastagerechten op basis van tomaten.
