Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Drink hem nu of bewaar hem tot 20 jaar in een kelder. Het wordt aanbevolen om de wijn een uur te decanteren.

    Gelegen in de Languedoc, niet ver van Narbonne, werd Chateau La Negly gekocht door Jean Paux-Rosset in 1992, na verschillende keren van eigenaar te zijn veranderd. Na de aankoop ondernam de familie Paux-Rosset een project om de wijnstokken te verbeteren en te herplanten, met de hulp van oenoloog Claude Gros, om de wijnmakerij in de richting van kwaliteitsproductie te sturen.

    De wijn is een blend van voornamelijk Syrah met toevoegingen van Grenache, afkomstig van de Clos des Truffiers, een wijngaard gelegen op de hoogten van Saint-Pargoire in Hérault en met uitzicht op zee. De Syrah-wijnstok, hier geplant in 1961, is de oudste in de regio. De naam van het perceel komt van de aanwezigheid van truffeleiken in de oorspronkelijke aanplant.

    Clos des Truffiers is een wijn met een intense kleur met robijnrode tonen. In de neus onthult hij een breed en krachtig aromatisch profiel met tonen van braam en framboos, donker fruit en viooltjes, koffie en minerale hints. In de mond is hij vol en fluweelachtig, rond en sappig met zachte en goed geïntegreerde tannines. De afdronk is lang en licht houtachtig. Hij smaakt uitstekend bij rood vlees en mag absoluut niet ontbreken bij een rib-eye met bot, knoflook en kruiden.
