    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Drink hem nu of bewaar hem tot 15 jaar in een kelder. Het wordt aanbevolen om de wijn een uur te decanteren.

    Gelegen in Panzano in Chianti, in het hart van de Conca d'oro del Chianti, bezit de boerderij La Massa 27 hectare wijngaarden. Het landgoed werd in 1992 gekocht door Giampaolo Motta, die kan rekenen op de hulp van zijn vriend en oenoloog Carlo Ferrini en Stéphane Derenouncour.

    Giorgio Primo is een Bordeaux blend met een meerderheid van Cabernet Sauvignon met toevoegingen van Merlot en Petit Verdot. De druiven, afkomstig van wijngaarden op kleiachtige en kalkhoudende bodems die rijk zijn aan leisteen, worden handmatig geselecteerd en geoogst om een maximale kwaliteit te garanderen. De gisting vindt plaats met inheemse gisten en de wijn rijpt vervolgens 18 maanden in eiken barriques (waarvan 80% nieuw).

    Deze uitstekende Supertuscan, geproduceerd onder de IGT Toscana benaming, heeft een dichte en diepe kleur met donkerrode tinten. Het aromatische profiel is intens en complex, elegant en aanhoudend, met aroma's van donker fruit en specerijen, leer en tabak. In de mond is hij geconcentreerd en krachtig, met stevige tannines en een streepje heldere zuurgraad. De afdronk is lang en evenwichtig. Het is de ideale wijn voor wild of gestoofd rood vlees.
