    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Het Tolaini wijnhuis werd eind jaren '90 opgericht door Pierluigi Tolaini, in het zuidelijke gebied van de Chianti Classico wijnstreek, en meer precies in de gemeente Castelnuovo Berardenga. Het bedrijf, dat wijnen produceert die internationaal bekend staan om hun hoge kwaliteit, past geavanceerde technologieën toe in totale harmonie met de oude lokale tradities en met het grootste respect voor het terroir.

    De Valdisanti van het Tolaini wijnhuis is een blend van Cabernet Sauvignon en Cabernet Franc druiven in gelijke delen, afkomstig van de San Giovanni wijngaard, vlakbij San Giovanni a Cerreto. Hier zijn de wijnstokken meer dan 20 jaar oud en staan ze aangeplant op zanderige en tufelige terrassen. De gisting vindt plaats in Franse eiken vaten bij een gecontroleerde temperatuur en de afgewerkte wijn rijpt 16 maanden in Franse eiken barriques.

    Deze elegante SuperTuscan heeft een robijnrode kleur met granaatnuances. De neus is intens en geurig met aroma's van zoete specerijen zoals kaneel en vanille, rijpe bessen en wat minerale en kruidige tonen. In de mond is hij rijk en rond, vol en zacht met rijpe tannines en een aangename concentratie van rijp fruit. De afdronk is lang en aanhoudend en doet denken aan tonen van zoete specerijen. Probeer hem bij een gemengde grill van rood vlees.
