    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    De familie Lavrenčič is al sinds 1499 aanwezig in de Vipava vallei en maakt hier al drie generaties lang wijn en heeft een intieme band met de regio en het land. In 2009 besloot Primoz Lavrenčič voor zichzelf te beginnen en zijn eigen onderneming op te richten die hij Burja noemde, naar de sterke wind die elk onderdeel van het dagelijks leven in deze bergachtige regio beïnvloedt. Waar mogelijk probeert Primoz te werken in harmonie met de natuur; hij plant inheemse druivenrassen, bewerkt zijn wijngaarden op biologische wijze en gebruikt wilde gisten en lange rijping in grote eiken vaten in de wijnmakerij.

    Deze ongewone wijn wordt gemaakt van de inheemse "zelen" druif, wat "groen" betekent in het Sloveens. Het ras dankt zijn naam aan de smaragdgroene tint die vooral in de verse druivenmost te zien is. Primoz macereert zijn versie twee dagen op de schillen om een zogenaamde "oranje wijn" te creëren met meer complexiteit en een rijke en romige textuur. De wijn wordt vervolgens vergist en gerijpt in betonnen tanks om het natuurlijke karakter van de druif te behouden.

    Het resultaat is een intens aromatische wijn met hints van witte bloemen, groene appel, citrus en een staalachtige mineraliteit. In de mond is er een gemiddelde body, zachte tannines en levendige fruitsmaken met een lange en elegante afdronk met hints van bittere amandelen en room.
