    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Gelegen in Napa Valley, werd Precision Wine Co. opgericht door wijnmaker Trevor Sheehan, en gemodelleerd naar négociant operaties in Bourgondië. Het bedrijf koopt druiven of sap van verschillende Californische producenten en verkoopt een breed scala aan wijnen onder verschillende merken, waaronder Acclaimed, Gearbox, Windstorm en Gabrielle Ashley. Onder het label Barrel Bomb produceert het bedrijf ook een Kentucky Bourbon gerijpt in wijnvaten en een Cabernet Sauvignon gerijpt in bourbonvaten.

    Deze Gabrielle Ashley Cabernet Sauvignon is, net als alle andere wijnen van Precision Wine Co., gemaakt van druiven van de beste lokale telers, geselecteerd om het karakter van het druivenras, de diversiteit van het terroir en de kenmerken van de verschillende Californische wijngebieden volledig tot uiting te laten komen, en om een uitstekende prijs-kwaliteitverhouding te bieden.

    Dit is een rijke en stevige wijn. Het smaakprofiel onthult tonen van cassis, zwarte kersen en bosbessen, gevolgd door hints van hout en kruiden. In de mond is hij goed gestructureerd en medium tot vol van smaak. Het is een evenwichtige wijn met rijpe tannines en goede zuren. Er is een goede fruitconcentratie. De afdronk is lang en aanhoudend. Het is de ideale wijn voor lamskoteletjes, een lekkere cheeseburger of een rijk rundergehaktbrood.
