    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Jeffrey Grosset werd op 15-jarige leeftijd verliefd op wijn toen zijn vader een fles meebracht om te delen met zijn familie. Hij studeerde Enologie en werkte in wijnmakerijen in Duitsland en Australië voordat hij in 1981 besloot zijn eigen wijnmakerij op te richten in de Clare Valley. Het huidige wijnhuis staat op het terrein van een oude melkopslagplaats en is gespecialiseerd in Riesling wijnen van topkwaliteit die gebotteld worden met schroefdop om de aroma's en frisheid te behouden.

    Springvale is een gewaardeerde wijngaard van 6 hectare die zowel biologisch als biodynamisch wordt bewerkt. De wijnstokken zijn geplant op kalksteen bodem met de wortels ingebed in diepe leisteen, waardoor een wijn van grote intensiteit en mineraliteit ontstaat. Het fruit wordt gefermenteerd en gerijpt in roestvrijstalen tanks voor een korte periode voor het bottelen, wat extra complexiteit en glans toevoegt aan de uiteindelijke cuvee.

    Subtiele hints van lindebloesem, lentekruiden en lavendel springen onmiddellijk uit het glas, gevolgd door diepere ondertonen van groene appel en peer. De eerste slok onthult een watertandende zuurgraad, een vederlichte body en aanhoudende prikkelende citrustonen die dit een fantastisch aperitief maken of een combinatie met sushi en verse zeevruchten.
