    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Gelegen in de vruchtbare vallei van de Alazani rivier in het historische wijngebied van Kakheti, Georgië, werd het wijnhuis Qimerioni opgericht in 2011. De bedrijfsnaam is afgeleid van het historische kunstcafé dat in 1919 in Tbilisi werd opgericht door een groep beroemde Georgische dichters en kunstenaars voor gemeenschapsevenementen zoals poëzievoordrachten, tentoonstellingen en kunstvoorstellingen. Qimerioni verbouwt verschillende lokale druivensoorten en produceert natuurlijke wijn van de hoogste kwaliteit met behulp van traditionele Georgische methoden. De wijngaarden genieten een perfect klimaat voor de wijnbouw, dankzij de aanwezigheid in het zuiden van de Alazani rivier en het Kaukasus gebergte in de verte.

    Saperavi is een oude Georgische druivensoort die zich leent voor de productie van bijna alle soorten wijn: droog, halfdroog en halfzoet. Door zijn uitzonderlijke organoleptische kenmerken, diepe kleur, volle body en intens aroma is Saperavi vergelijkbaar met Cabernet Sauvignon. Het is een zeer veelzijdige druif: hij wordt geproduceerd in roestvrij staal of in traditionele Georgische kleipotten en sommige producenten experimenteren ook met eikenhouten vaten.

    De wijn is rijk, met een intens aroma van sappige kersen, rode bessen, vanille, chili en cacao. In de mond is hij zeer consistent, fris en levendig, vol en perfect harmonieus. Probeer hem bij gegrild vlees en rijke vegetarische gerechten.
