    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Tony Cartlidge droomde er voor het eerst van om wijn te maken in de Golden State nadat hij een boek had gelezen over grote Californische wijnmakers terwijl hij werkte op een bouwplaats voor kernenergie in de buurt van Washington. In 1980 richtte Tony samen met de lokale ondernemer Glenn Browne een wijnmakerij op in een garage in Napa Valley. Na een reis door Californië op zoek naar topkwaliteit fruit, maakte het duo in 1981 hun eerste oogst en trok al snel de aandacht van de internationale wijnmedia waaronder Robert Parker die hun "fruit forward, pure, varietally correct, delicious wines" prees.

    Heden ten dage koopt dit boutique wijnhuis druiven in bij hun gewaardeerde partner telers in de hele staat, vaak gericht op minder bekende appellations die uitstekende kwaliteit en waar voor hun geld bieden. Hun Cabernet Sauvignon wordt gemaakt in een rijke en robuuste stijl die liefhebbers van grote, gedurfde rode wijnen zeker zal bevallen.

    Op de neus zijn er weelderige cassis, geplette bramen en rijpe pruimen, vermengd met hints van kaneel, kruidnagel en gedroogde kruiden. De eerste slok onthult een stevige volle body, goed afgeronde textuur en stevige tannines. De lange afdronk en het intense fruitige smaakprofiel maken dit een geweldige match voor gegrild vlees, rib-eye steak of wildgerechten.
